Colleagues past and present gathered to pay a fond farewell, but not goodbye, to Brian Mathieson on his last working day before retirement.
Brian initially joined the Company in 1968 and returned for a second stint in 1986 meaning he has given WCL over 37 years service - a truly remarkable achievement and one which we are very grateful for. Ex-colleague, Roland Gill, himself a WCL stalwart of over 50 years visited to join in the celebrations with all staff which saw Brian presented with a new mobile phone, a cake in the colours of his beloved Manchester United, and a United shirt bearing his name along with a cash gift.
Brian - thank you Sir for your service and with the new mobile phone there is no reason not to keep in touch!
